Professional Development Opportunities

Beginning in October 2024, MLI will offer a regional PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITITY that will be hosted in 4 regions in Michigan. This 3-session series will provide support for first and second year superintendents and will be facilitated by knowledgeable and experienced former superintendents that have shared success in the field. Additionally, if you truly feel you will benefit from this experience and you are not a first or second year superintendent, you are welcome.

Each participant will join in discussions on a variety of critical topics to expand connections, expertise, and success in leadership. This is a great opportunity to grow your network and gain additional support and guidance to further your success in the superintendency.

Beginning in October, MLI will offer a statewide professional development opportunity which will provide support for aspiring Superintendents and Superintendents of color in Michigan. Over the course of the year the group will meet three times to discuss a variety of critical topics and assist one another with problems and challenges they may be facing. Discussion topics may include: shades of leadership; collaboration without collisions; making connections; leading through change; new day-new way-new results; leadership is a gift! The group will be facilitated with knowledgeable and experienced superintendents who have shared success in the field. The topics and resources are intended to provide additional support and guidance leading to further success in the superintendency.

Over the course of the year the group will meet three times to discuss a variety of critical topics and assist one another with problems and challenges they may be facing. The group will be facilitated with knowledgeable and experienced superintendents who have shared success in the field.The topics and resources are intended to provide additional support and guidance leading to further success in the superintendency.

Regional Meeting Dates: OCTOBER 17, JANUARY 30, MAY 15 (all Thursdays)
