Mr. Andrews' distinguished 42-year career in public education includes serving as High School Teacher and Coach for Portage Public Schools, Assistant High School Principal for Marysville Public Schools, High School Principal for Grand Ledge Public Schools, and 18 years as Superintendent of the Marysville Public Schools. Engagement in a variety of educational experiences has been a priority for Mr. Andrews throughout his career. 

He has chaired several NCA visitation teams and has served on an AdvancEd visitation team. He has taught graduate level classes in school law and personnel for Saginaw Valley State University. In addition, he held an appointment on the Michigan Teacher Tenure commission and, through MASA, currently works as an executive coach for newly appointed superintendents. His work as the Chief Administrative Officer for several charter schools has given him unique insight into non-traditional education.

Throughout his career, Mr. Andrews has been active in professional and service organizations. He has held positions of responsibility as President of MASA Region 5, MASA Conference Planning Chair, and as a member of MASA Council. His community service includes serving as President of the Marysville Rotary, an officer of Goodwill International of St. Clair County, Education Representative for the St. Clair County Metropolitan Planning Commission, and as a volunteer for Southeast Michigan American Red Cross. Mr. Andrews obtained his Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Arts degree from Western Michigan University and an Education Specialist degree from Oakland University. His areas of expertise and interest include effective decision making, long range planning, and comprehensive school management. He is a Vietnam veteran.
